The hostel was clean every time we saw it, with a big kitchen and comfortable beds. The man who runs it and his friendly wife were incredibly helpful to me and my friends. We’re really grateful for that.

My bed was missing a leg, so it kept tipping and I woke up nearly falling off. I spent most of the night trying to fix it and barely slept. When I mentioned it at checkout, the person in charge stayed on her phone and just said, “Yeah, so?” Really awful service and a terrible stay. I wouldn’t recommend it.

We slept really well here. The beds, pillows, mattresses, and linens were in perfect, almost-new condition, and even though the rooms are small, they’re comfortable, with a desk, chair, nightstands, and cable TV. There’s no heating, air conditioning, or fan. The bathrooms are small too, but everything works and is well maintained, with great hot and cold water pressure. The kitchen is fully equipped for cooking and eating, and has three refrigerators. There’s a roomy dining space beside it with tables, chairs, and cable TV. The hostel is spotless, from the floors and kitchen to the pleasantly scented hallways. The staff were excellent and made us feel at home. It’s a great value for a couple of nights in Valparaíso, though it’s outside the city center and the neighborhood isn’t ideal for walking around at night. The parking garage is about two blocks away; staff are happy to go with you or lend you the keys to move your car. We’d definitely come back.

The second floor is more comfortable. Our first-floor room was humid and had no ventilation, and hallway noise carried into the room. The place itself was nice, clean, and spacious.
