Cabañas Lago Vichuquén

The cabins have the basics for cooking or grilling, and they're set apart from one another. We were given breakfast in exchange for a boat ride, and it was spectacular. We visited a few weeks ago, despite what people say about the lake. The property has four hectares of green space, a pool, and lovely views. It's charming. There was a lot to explore nearby, though we had to choose what to fit in. We stopped at the viewpoint on the road into Vichuquén from Licantén, then wandered around Vichuquén itself. It's beautiful and full of history, with two museums and nice craft shops. One museum, by Carlos Cardoen, covers the area in general; the other is about bees. We also explored Llico, with its new waterfront promenade, parking, and direct access to Playa del Mar. From there, the coastal path continues to the aerial trails. Vichuquén is still a charming destination.

Loved the setting and the atmosphere. I'd recommend it.

It's a peaceful spot with a nice view, and the cabins have their own charm, though they're not as tidy as you'd expect. Pest control could use some improvement. Getting to the lake is difficult because the shoreline is all privatized. There's no oversight, and buildings reach right to the water, leaving visitors without any space or areas to use.

I stayed in the two-person cabin with a hot tub. The boat ride that came with it was really nice, and everything worked well. The view was lovely, and the cabin had what two people needed. It could use a few more utensils, though. There were only two spoons and two forks. Apart from that, all was good.
