Hospedaje Shuyen

The place was really high quality, with a wood burning stove and a good shower, and the landlady was lovely. I was cycling east to west through town on my own, and though it’s a bit out of town, that didn’t bother me. It’s a quiet corner, with a supermarket nearby. For my one night I got a room that could sleep three for 25k, and added dinner and breakfast at the little restaurant on site. The portions felt a bit small for cycling, but would be fine if you’re not riding. Dinner cost 7.5k and breakfast 5k.

The shower was great and everything was clean. We paid $40,000 for two people in a room with a private bathroom, then $12,000 for breakfast for two. I wouldn’t recommend the breakfast: lukewarm coffee, cold bread, four eggs, butter and a little plum jam. We stayed here three years ago, and breakfast was very different then.

The VOMER Volleyball Club really appreciated the hospitality shown to us. It’s a clean, pleasant place with excellent service and very friendly people, a great spot to spend some time.

There’s private parking and getting in is easy. It’s close to a gas station and the town square, too. The atmosphere is rustic and beautiful, and the space feels cozy and safe. I recommend it when passing through Victoria.
