Hostal la Casona

The cat pee smell was unbearable, and the sheets were stained with a white liquid. We ended up sleeping on top of the bedding with our clothes on. We’d arrived as four people for two double rooms, but one room hadn’t been prepared. The receptionist made it up in two minutes without even changing the sheets. We wanted to leave, but they wouldn’t refund us. At the boss’s request, they also couldn’t give us breakfast. A disgrace. NOT RECOMMENDED!!

For 30,000 pesos a double room, I expected more. The room had no bathroom or window and smelled musty, and the mattresses and sheets were old. The walls were stained, and the rooms, bathrooms, and common areas were dirty. The staff had a very poor attitude, too. Only go if you’re trying to fulfill a vow.

Everything was expensive, and the sound insulation was terrible. The furniture was falling apart, as was the bed. I got a run-down, uncomfortable room for what I paid, with a cramped bathroom, a tiny TV, and one small window in a little wooden room.

The staff were friendly, which is why I’m giving it two stars. The room we were assigned was supposedly a double, but the bed barely fit. There was a terrible makeshift clothes rack, and the bathroom was small, old, and poorly kept, with mold on the shower curtain.
