Herman was so helpful, spoke English fluently, and gave us lots of great recommendations. We found Hosteria Zapallar through a friend after coming to Zapallar on a whim, and we’d happily return. It’s a lovely, quiet spot near the beach and plenty of restaurants, with a well-stocked kitchen if you’d rather cook.

Everything was clean and the location is very good, but I wouldn’t return. We booked a short stay and ended up sharing the place with a family and their children and baby. We could hear everything. The children ran and screamed all morning, so we got no rest. The manager mentioned there were other guests and asked the family to keep the noise down, but didn’t clearly set any limits. The room was quite small for the high price, and the manager’s lack of concern for guests made the experience worse.
