Hostal El Pichon

The owner was really friendly. He picked us up in Santiago, patiently took us to the market, and then brought us to his hotel. The lodging is simple and budget-friendly, comfortable without any luxury, and suited to seeing the snow without spending much. We could use the kitchen freely to make our own meals, which is handy since restaurants around there can be hard to find. I recommend it.

The owner, Victor, was incredibly kind and helpful. He drove us to Farellones Park at no extra charge, lent us sleds, and took us to play on a snowy hill, then picked us up at the agreed time without charging anything. He also made a traditional barbecue for the guests at the inn, again at no cost. The place itself is simple, pleasant, and close to the ski slopes. I highly, highly recommend it!

The owner was very attentive, and the rooms and bathrooms were clean. He gave us equipment rental tips, though we’d already rented on the way up and it would have been much cheaper to follow his advice. Our group of 11 was comfortably accommodated, and we all enjoyed the stay. The kitchen is small, but with a little care we cooked just fine. I’d like to return and stay longer.

Good value, and there’s a kitchen guests can use to prepare something. The owner is very friendly and provides transfers from Santiago to Farelones.
