Hotel Zingana

The service is quick, and the rooms have AC and a good side view. It's one of the best hotels. Go and see for yourself, you won't regret it.

One drawback is that the staff don't speak English, like most staff in the French regions of Cameroon, and don't make an effort to learn it. They are welcoming, though. This is one of the most modern and cleanest hotels in Bafoussam, the regional capital of the West region.

The staff were welcoming, to be fair, but the place is overpriced: a room costs 110,200 fcfa, more than 200$ per night. Cockroaches are often seen all over the place, and the bed sheets smell BAD. The rooftop restaurant is a mess, with one plate of 1 gambas priced at 3000fcfa (almost 5$) and another plate of 3pieces of gambas at 10000fcfa. Both restaurant menus are very limited, and breakfast is poor.

The standard room I had was clean, well kept, and fresh, with hot water, though no AC. I also felt quite secure, with the hotel near the road and security agents at the entrance and inside the building. The buffet was okay but didn't offer enough variety for me. The Chef is good, though, and the food tastes great. Prices are a little high for what you get, starting at 69.000 for one person in a standard room, but it's the best hotel in bafoussam. I had a wonderful stay. The service was kind, patient, and very polite, and their professionalism impressed me. You don't find that service quality often in Cameroun, so the team deserves congratulations. The architecture is beautiful, and the interior decoration has a strong African culture feel that Foreigners love.
