The staff were warm and welcoming, and customer service was fantastic. Breakfast was good, too. There’s no room service, so you can order ahead and come downstairs to pick it up, though the wait can be long. Still, the customer service made up for the bad parts of the experience.

At IBIS Hotel Douala, the rooms were clean and very spacious, and the people I met were welcoming, polite, and available. It’s calm there, a good environment to meditate, gather your thoughts, and concentrate. I really liked the place and highly recommend IBIS Douala.

The free airport shuttle is the one plus. The hotel is a 3-star place that somehow partnered with Ibis, and it’s in the middle of nowhere. There aren’t stores nearby to buy even water, or restaurants, so the hotel restaurant prices are exorbitant. Internet is very weak and keeps disconnecting.

I had an interesting time here, but the service needs improvement. I wasn’t impressed. They did try hard, but some staff didn’t seem to have good manners.
