For 29,500 FCFA, a single bedroom at Prestige hotel is far too expensive for what you get. The room was so humid that I had an allergic reaction, and there was mold. The carpet didn’t look properly vacuumed, the sink and toilet were broken, and the shower tap leaked so badly they put a bucket under it. Paint was coming off the walls, the air conditioning barely worked, and the bedsheets didn’t fit the bed. A really bad experience.

We arrived at 3 in the morning on Thursday, but they said we had to leave by noon that same day, even though our checkout was meant to be Friday at noon. They wanted us to pay half of what we’d already paid to stay until noon. Bad management. SMH 🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️😫

The reception staff were helpful, and there’s a very good bakery, a nice restaurant, and parking. The internet is good too, although they monitor and record guests’ browsing and information. Rooms are simple, with satellite TV, good air conditioning, and hot baths. It’s in a busy area with easy taxi access. The bathroom was nice, but could’ve been cleaned better.

For 29,500 CFA, I got a clean, average-sized room with a balcony. Still overpriced. I paid 30,000, and they wouldn’t return the 500 CFA until I asked for it.

It’s in a good spot in the city and security is good. The parking is a problem, though, since there really isn’t much of a car park.
