The hotel sits right in front of the slopes, and the packages were good: ski or snowboard gear for every day of the stay, ski passes, one visit to a lovely hot springs spa about a 10-minute walk away, and one visit to the kids' water park. With the package, equipment can be picked up for free next door at the west in. The hotel isn't the newest, but we were comfortable in the spacious room and liked the view of the little mountain. Breakfast offered a good range of Chinese and international food, and the coffee was good. The whole resort area is convenient, since the hotels are all by the slopes. The mountain is good for beginners and still fun to see for advanced winter sport fans, with enough runs to explore for a day. It's still not comparable to a ski area in Europe.

I booked a December package through Spring Tours China. They mistakenly recorded my electronic room deposit as an expense and said fixing it would take two days. It's now been 37 days, and I still haven't received anything or heard an update. Apart from that, the stay was fine. Breakfast was good, the rooms were clean, and they offered snowmobile transfers to the slopes.

The roof facade view was terrible, especially for $500. The room seemed to be falling apart, with bare wires sticking out of a socket for three days. There was no minibar, just one locked with a key, presumably because they couldn't be bothered to track what people drank, like juice or water. Finding English-speaking staff was difficult, though that was a small issue by comparison. I've been a Marriott club member for a long time and have stayed at many Marriott, Ritz, and Sheraton hotels. This place shocked me. Two or three stars would have been fair, but it calls itself five.

Our family wants to thank concierge Mr Daniel Zhang for looking after us during our three-night stay in August 2022. He reached out proactively while we were checking in to see what we needed, which felt really warm and thoughtful. He added us on WeChat and was quick to answer questions about tickets, weather, food, and other things. His hospitality was wonderful, and he's a real asset to Sheraton.
