Construction or repair work started before 8 a.m. and woke us up. That really wasn’t appreciated. The rooms were okay, but the hallways were dirty and the restroom tile floors get very slippery when you shower. For the price, there are better choices.

The rooms were basic but clean, and the location is handy: close to the subway, near Ri Tan park, and within walking distance of Beijing railway station. If you don’t speak Chinese, be ready for some difficulty, since English-speaking staff aren’t always available. The hotel website also doesn’t always match what you find in person. Staff will try to help, but it’s best to call ahead and confirm details if you can. For American travelers, the quality is similar to Hotel 6.

The room was clean and nice, but the window is tiny and faces another room. I could hear through the walls, and the Wi-Fi was really slow. It was okay overall.
