60 West Hotel

I stayed for a month and was grateful that they made a long HK trip comfortable and affordable. The staff were friendly and helpful, and sheets and towels were changed every two days. My room was spacious, clean, and had a high ceiling. The neighbourhood was a real plus. Great prices, and excellent for longer stays, though the smaller rooms may not have a kitchen. Highly recommend!

The rooms are spacious by Hong Kong standards and good value, and the staff were very friendly. They even press the elevator button for you. I would come back, but first I'd want to know management had addressed a safety concern: both smoke detectors in my room were covered, and I could smell smoke from other rooms, so I guess those detectors may be covered too.

The free upgrade was a lovely surprise. We booked a Deluxe twin bed through Agoda, then staff moved us to an Executive Suite, though I'm not sure why. Check-in was quick and easy, and the staff member helping us was friendly and professional. The suite was huge, about 70 square meters, for the price we paid. It had two large bedrooms, one with a dressing room and robes, plus a kitchen with an oven and large fridge. There was also a sitting area with a sofa, table, and chairs, and a good selection of tea and coffee. A toothbrush set costs an extra $10 per piece. There's a 24-hour store about a minute away for late-night snacks, with lots of restaurants and bars nearby. We had an amazing weekend at this 3-star hotel, loved everything, and would recommend it.

The location was a big plus, close to the tram, bus, and everything around. Staff were great and had a good attitude. I stayed three nights with my family after moving from another hotel, but this was quite different. We didn't get an upgrade, and the $500 deposit for each room wasn't a welcome start. The hotel is small, including the reception. The room was quite big for Central, but old, with mold and dirty details in both the room and bathroom. I didn't feel clean there, and my sleep was bad all three nights. I had bad dreams and an itchy bedsheet, and mostly just hoped to get through the night.
