Accommodation in HK is really small and expensive.

Hong Kong is so expensive, but this place was still a nightmare for me, haha. I picked it because of one review saying the writer had a great stay with their mother. I wonder how low their expectations were. I usually stay in hotels with my family and cheap guesthouses with friends, and I've tried plenty of places that cost less than this one. Still, this was just... no. If saving money is your priority, go ahead and choose it. I'm glad I went with my older sister, though. If I'd brought my mom, she probably would have booked a hotel that very day. My sister and I still laugh about that awful stay in Hong Kong and talk about it as one of our Hong Kong memories.

For backpackers, or anyone who sees a room as just somewhere to sleep, this is great value. The owner is kind, and it has the basics: a hair dryer, towels, air conditioning, shampoo, body wash and hangers. The water runs well, too. It's much quieter and cleaner than Chungking Mansions. You can use two elevators. There are three, but one doesn't stop at the fourth floor. Rooms are cramped everywhere, so I don't count the small size as a downside.

The owner is very friendly and welcoming to everyone. If you want a clean, reasonably priced hotel in Tsim Sha Tsui, this one is worth a look, even though it's tucked away on the fourth floor of an old building. The room is limited on space, which makes sense in Hong Kong where land is so valuable. At this price, it's already very affordable.
