Dash Living on Prat

Our Hong Kong stay was relaxing at Dash Living. It’s clean, modern, and the room is comfortable. The location is convenient, with restaurants nearby. Suki was really friendly and made sure our stay went well. I’d recommend this place.

I was hesitant because some reviews were really bad, but I decided to try the hotel with an open mind. The location is excellent, as a lot of people say. If someone complains about it, haha, they can find me a better one. I’d give the room five stars. You get what you pay for: it was generally clean, and while some areas like the carpet outside were dirty, it wasn’t that bad. The hotel says its policy of not cleaning rooms as much is for sustainability. If you want a super-clean hotel, choose a branded place like the Hilton or Marriot, but pay accordingly. Service gets four stars. It’s more about the overall feel than bad service. The staff were generally okay, and for a hassle-free hotel like this I didn’t expect five-star service. I think many visitors misunderstand the place. I’m happy with the value and would return.

The location is fairly decent, with lots of stores nearby. That’s about the only positive. The hotel itself is pathetic. It barely deserves to be called a hotel or apartment service. Even air bnb's offer better service and more supplies. I stayed over three nights and was given just one roll of toilet paper. The bathroom was empty, yet room service didn’t replace it or change the bed covers. When I saw an empty roll, I had to go downstairs and wait more than 40 minutes at reception to get another one. Why should such basic things need to be requested? Room service came in for about 2.5 minutes, changed the bin, and left. I saw it myself. There was no new sheet and no cleaning of the room. The place is cramped and cleanliness is below standard. Spend a few extra bucks on a better hotel. This one isn’t worth it.

The room rate made me expect basics like a toothbrush and slippers to be included, but neither was provided. One receptionist, a big chubby girl, had a really bad attitude and wasn’t helpful at all. They should reassess her. I wouldn’t recommend staying here.
