Hotel Purple Hong Kong

The room was cozy, very clean, and surprisingly quiet. We couldn't hear street noise, which made it easy to rest. Though the listing said 18 sq meters when booking, it felt noticeably smaller, but that's common in Hong Kong. Housekeeping came daily and the room was well maintained. One odd thing was that during cleaning they left obvious trash, like empty water bottles and fruit containers. There was no complimentary water in the room or on the floor either, so we had to buy it or use the dispenser near reception on the 3rd floor. The hotel is in a great area near a park and plenty of restaurants. A short walk away from Hong Kong's busiest streets, things feel calmer. The location is nicely balanced. The stay left a positive impression overall, and the location, cleanliness, and quiet atmosphere made our five days comfortable.

I really like this little place. As expected, the room is fairly small, but it's quiet and comfortable. Tin Hau MTR station is a five-minute walk, and the tram is even closer. I'll choose it again next time I'm in Hong Kong.

The water barely had any pressure, and the lighting was either harsh or too dim. The room was tiny, dusty, and covered with odd dark brown marks on the carpet. There was mould too, and things kept breaking, which made the place feel old and poorly maintained. The air conditioner blew straight at me, so I could only switch it off, but then the room felt suffocating.

On the 27th floor I had a spacious room with a large single bed. The facilities were good, and the cleaning staff looked after the room carefully. For the price, it felt worthwhile. 🙏
