Lander Grand Hotel

The location is good, but the overall hygiene was concerning during our 2-night stay. The shower water wasn’t hot, the mattress was hard, and the air in the air-con room didn’t feel good. It smelled slightly mouldy or like smoke. A bad experience.

Room 2 on the 19th floor was great. I was really impressed by the furniture design, room layout, cleanliness, and comfort. The front desk greeted me with a smile. Thank you 🙏

The rooms are generally old and dusty, but those big, big windows are a plus. Definitely get the harbor view. The location is convenient.

The hotel was quiet and cosy, and the location couldn’t be better for ferry travel. Staff were polite, and the elevator was the fastest I’ve ever seen in a hotel, which was a godsend since that small lift was heavily used. Our family of 4-pax couldn’t book a double room at this small hotel, so we had to take two 3-px rooms on separate floors, at a steep price. The rooms were wide and spacious. A beautiful sea view of the harbour greeted us when we entered. The bathroom was small and might be narrow for larger people, but the hot water pressure and toiletries were good. Amenities were decent and the bed was comfortable. I liked that the windows opened a little, though the expressway out front was noisy. Almost everything worked properly, and the WiFi was fast and consistent throughout my 4-day stay. The aircon control was the exception. It seemed to be a central AC unit, and the first night was freezing. The hotel also strictly allows only one extra blanket per room, even though mine had two beds.
