Regal Riverside Hotel

The room was the first thing that made me comfortable: it was bright, clean, and laid out well, with soft bedding and complete, well-kept facilities. There were no bad smells, and the bathroom amenities were good quality. The front desk was warm and attentive, and check-in was efficient. The location also made getting around easy. Everything was cared for, and the value was hard to beat. I’d choose this hotel again on another visit and recommend it.

Feb 26: We came here with a local tour for the lunch buffet. There was a broad range of food, though each item had limited options, probably because it was lunchtime. The taste was decent, and fortunately none of us had stomach trouble. The place was clean, the staff friendly, and food was refilled regularly. Tea, coffee, and canned drinks were free-flow. Desserts rotated and tasted nice. They had sashimi, shrimp, and mussels, but no oysters. The toilet was fine, and there’s a small kids’ play area where children can go after eating.

The little ground-floor cafe was my favorite. I had smoked salmon on a croissant with an Americano, and both were great. It’s comfortable to sit there, and seems like a nice spot for a gathering or business meeting. Everyone, from the front desk and room service to the food service staff, was kind and caring. It’s a quiet location but still easy to get around, with lots of bus and minibus routes to Shatin New Town Plaza and Tsim Sha Tsui. The buffet breakfast is reasonably priced, and the hotel building has a good choice of restaurants.
