Temple Street Hotel

SO BAD, this was my worst experience. I got there before 11 pm, but the door was locked and the receptionist was nowhere around. I'd asked beforehand whether reception was open 24 hours, and was told it stayed open until midnight. I tried calling, but they didn't answer, seemingly on purpose. Completely unprofessional. I read other reviews saying people had the same problem. Save your time and money and find another hotel. I absolutely don't recommend this one.

We only needed a few hours there before our early flight, but I DEFINITELY WOULD NOT RECOMMEND it. We booked the Temple St, Jordan address on Agoda, then were sent to a different place on Hamilton St, Yau Ma Tei. It was sketchy, and I felt betrayed. They said Temple St didn't have a family or group room, which is why they moved us. The pillows, bedding, and whole room smelled of cigarettes, even though I had specifically asked for a non-smoking room. We had to open the windows for ventilation. The bathroom doors were difficult to open and close and wouldn't shut fully. No towels were ready. Staff kept saying someone would bring them, but nobody came. BOTH WIFIs DO NOT WORK. Staff assured us it wouldn't be noisy, but all night we clearly heard people talking, sirens, and cars.

The rooms were nothing like I expected from the listing. They're tiny, the double bed is small, and with two people there's barely room to move. The bathroom is cramped too. The place is in a red light area with working women offering services, though it's close to food and the night scene, with plenty to walk around and explore. It's crowded by day and night, so be careful choosing a hotel. Many are hard to find, and it's best to check in person if possible. The nicer, bigger places cost a lot, and nothing is cheap.

A small, nice hotel with super friendly, helpful staff. The rooms are fully equipped, and while they're small, that's typical around here for the price. It's in a great spot by the night market and is a good deal for Kowloon. I'd definitely stay again if I visit.
