IW Hotel

I was there for a business meeting, and the staff were friendly and accommodating. The huge lobby worked well for meeting friends or waiting for transportation. It's also an easy walk to the Kowloon Promenade, where the views get great the higher up you go.

The bright, clean decor gives you a break from the usual HK hustle. Just be aware there aren't any supermarkets and only one restaurant nearby. Since hotels no longer provide toiletries under the new rule, getting supplies is a hassle. The hot water tap didn't work properly, and reception didn't answer when I called. If they sorted out those details guests look for, this wouldn't be a bad hotel.

It was convenient for my business trip since my office was just a 7 min walk away, and the hotel met my needs. The downsides were no breakfast, no convenience store nearby, with the next 7/11 about 7 minutes away, and restaurants and cafes where staff spoke little or no English. My room floor also wasn't clean when I checked in. Still, it worked fine for what I needed.

The room and washroom were alright, but the staff were very unfriendly. They spoke English, though communication was still difficult. When I asked for room cleaning, they took the towels and didn't replace them. The lift was slow, and the blue lights on the hotel floor felt really weird. It's in the business district, so it can be quiet at night, and there are no shops nearby if you need to buy something.
