We booked Tai Hao Hotel because of its reviews, but were put on a different floor in another hotel in the same building. I didn't like being assigned somewhere else without a choice, and I had no idea what that hotel's reviews were like. The room was very small and not very clean, especially in the corners and other tucked-away spots. We had a reservation for two, but there was only one pillow. Staff took over three hours to bring another after we asked. Apparently, she was also looking after other hotels a few miles away. At least it was cheap.

Basic and did the job, with really good showers.

The rooms are tiny, though that's not surprising for a Hong Kong hostel.
