WE Hotel Kowloon

LC, the night clerk, greeted me so warmly and genuinely that I felt at home right away. I’ve travelled around the world three times in the past three years, and that welcome stood out. The rooms are tiny and spartan, with only overhead lights, and housekeeping comes every other day. It’s in a great spot for the Red line and night market. I’ll be back.

Kitty, Raymond and LC deserve a big thank you for the wonderful hospitality ❤️ Check-in and checkout were quick and smooth, and the rooms were clean, just the right size, with strong water pressure and good air conditioning. The location is hard to beat: there are lots of places to eat, fresh fruit right in front of the hotel, and transport options just steps away, including Yau Ma Tei MTR, a bus stop and Nathan Road. Highly recommend, especially for the staff.

The rooms are extremely small, but they were clean and well kept, which matters most for a short stay. The staff were the best part: friendly, welcoming and happy to help, with plenty of useful tips about the city that made getting around easier. The hotel is also very close to an easy-to-reach subway station. They don’t take Amex for deposits, which seems common at most places in Hong Kong, so keep that in mind. They do let you store luggage after checkout, which is handy if you want to explore before going to the airport. Aside from the card issue, I’d recommend it to travellers after a clean, well-located and budget-friendly place.
