There’s a good halal restaurant here, do give the food a try. It’s pretty nice. The place is huge to walk around, so I didn’t have enough time to cover the whole area.

We spent part of our last day in Kunming visiting this old town, which seemed to have mostly older residents. It took about 30 minutes to get there from town by didi. There are lots of temples, though it’s commercialized too, with even a mac there. A nice spot to wander around and sample the local delicacies.

This is one of Kunming’s commercialized old Chinese townships. There are plenty of souvenir and food shops, and it’s nice to wander around.

Guandu Ancient Town is an important part of Yunnan’s cultural and historical heritage, and a birthplace of Yunnan Culture. Its main sights include six temples, seven pavilions, and eight shrines. There are also many stalls and shops with food, drinks, souvenirs, and local goods. The special pancake was delicious, definitely worth trying.

It’s one of Kunming’s oldest towns, with a lot of cultural atmosphere. I enjoyed checking out the food street and watching the many cats.
