Alice was the real highlight of my two-night stay at Holiday Inn Express Lushan. I was in Xiamen for the first time and had local business to sort out, which was incredibly challenging since I don't speak Chinese. Her help made it possible for me to get things done. The hotel seems to have improved a lot since the older reviews I read. My room was well appointed, and the complimentary breakfast was much better than anything I've had in the States. It's centrally located, with the Line 1 metro station right outside and many parts of Xiamen easy to reach by metro or Didi. I'd happily stay at HI Lushan again when I'm back.

The service was pretty poor. They wouldn't even help book a taxi to the airport. I'd suggest staying somewhere else.
