Those local excursions were the best part. The guides were friendly and helpful, and the location is great. But the all-inclusive deal, with excursions, meals, and lodging, didn’t feel worth what we paid. The rooms were okay, though mosquitoes were a real problem. Bug spray didn’t stop the bites, and mosquito nets where people sleep would help. It also got very hot because the fans didn’t work from around 5 am until 10 am. The food tasted good, but dinner portions were much smaller than what they served from the menu. We were told the meals would rotate during our stay, but they didn’t. When we mentioned it, no one seemed to care or offered a response. The woman overseeing the place wasn’t very friendly or clear with us. We’d paid for excursions that were going to miss some stops because of issues, and we would’ve appreciated being told beforehand. She acted as if she didn’t know, even though we knew the guide had spoken with her about it. I think you’d be better off staying somewhere else.
