El Valle feels peaceful and not very touristy, and Monica’s organized outings, including whale watching, were a highlight. She’s a lovely host and made us delicious breakfasts. We had an ocean-view room that was perfect, and the spacious room was cleaned daily. There’s also a kitchen available. The six friendly cats and lovely dog added a lot to the charm. We had a fantastic four-night stay at El Morro Hosteria, highly recommended! One practical note: El Valle has just one ATM, and weather can affect whether it works. Bring cash by withdrawing it in advance, since payments are in cash.

We felt right at home at El Morro. It was quiet and cozy, and falling asleep to the sound of the ocean was lovely. The room was very clean and breakfast was freshly made each morning. It’s in the best spot, right on the beach and close to town and restaurants. Highly recommend!

It’s been a year since our stay, and we still remember this beautiful, peaceful spot. The journey there was worth it, and our room was clean with an amazing ocean view. Monica made my husband and me a delicious breakfast each morning, including homemade jams, and kindly accommodated my gluten-free diet. Monica and Jupi also arranged rides to and from the airport, which made getting there and back stress-free. We had an amazing stay at El Morro Hosteria!

We loved spending time with the cats and dog, and Monica was attentive to our needs and helped us book activities. The rooms were clean, breakfast was yummy, and the views of Playa Almejal are the best. Would gladly return, 10/10.

We loved our first visit to the Choco, especially the calm atmosphere and the direct beach access. Downtown is just a few minutes’ walk away. Mónica was a great host, with helpful recommendations and assistance booking tours and an airport taxi. The room was very clean, and breakfast was generous and tasty. The view of Playa Almejal is incredible. Muchas gracias Mónica!
