It’s even prettier in person than it looks in the photos, especially with all the colorful murals. The hostel is spotless and cozy, with comfortable, airy rooms. It’s right in the center of the city, and the service and atmosphere were lovely.

It’s a house with rooms for rent, so there are options for different budgets. The kitchen is shared and there’s no parking. The only problem we ran into was no water in the morning. The landlord told us the reserve tank might not have been full, or something along those lines.

The hostess was so friendly and ready to help with anything. It’s in a central spot, and the price is really affordable for what you get. The place feels lovely, with nice wall decor, and has what you need for a comfortable stay, including a well-equipped kitchen. I’d recommend it 100%.

The house is cool and has free parking, and I loved that it welcomes pets as long as the dog stays off the bed. The host was lovely and listened to suggestions. There’s room to cook and do laundry, and practically everything is new.

Paulin gave us such a warm welcome and was incredibly kind and helpful. At Hostal Macondo, our room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. It was a spectacular stay, and I’d definitely recommend it to anyone after a quiet, family-friendly place in Santa Marta.
