We've found our go-to place for Santa Marta. It's quiet and feels luxurious for the price. There's a D1 directly downstairs, and a secluded beach two blocks away where only locals go. The large public beach and shopping are still just a 10 or 15 minute walk.

The building is beautiful, tastefully decorated, and very practical. Having a supermarket on the ground floor is handy, and the beach is only two minutes away. There are still some noise problems and things that need fixing, though. The place needs to get noisy guests to follow the house rules.

Mary was especially hospitable, helping with several requests outside the usual service, and customer service was exceptional throughout booking and our stay. We were there for one night on the way back from Tayrona. The rooms were spacious, recently updated, very clean, and had good air conditioning.
