I ended up taking the first bus to Cartagena after they returned my money and put me out on a day when it was almost impossible to find somewhere to sleep in Barranquilla. I'd already paid 430 COP for three nights for Carnaval when, on the second day, they said they'd quoted the wrong price and wanted another 500 COP for the last night. These are very basic rooms, and before Carnaval they were about 70COP/night, so that would've been over seven times the usual price. We got stuck arguing over “he said-she said,” even though I'd paid for all three nights already. Their mistake became the customer's problem, with no real compensation. I found the whole experience unbelievably unprofessional. I wouldn't recommend this place. At 60-65COP per night it might be decent, but stay away from these vultures.

The staff were pretty helpful, and it wasn't bad as long as you just need a simple place and aren't expecting much. It was under construction and rough around the edges, though. For the area, I expected more at that price, which felt higher than it should've been.

Good area and economical, but very basic, with a really small bedroom.

The staff and service were great, and the price was great too. I'll be back next year.
