Hotel Continental Express

I can't recommend this Continental. My room was loud because it faced a major road, the staff were unfriendly, the WiFi was very bad, and the toilet was broken. I also heard animals moving around inside the walls or ceiling. It's the worst Continental I've stayed at.

Really great.

Getting around was easy from here, with transport nearby and places to run errands or enjoy the city close by. I also found the team especially helpful: they answered questions patiently, offered city suggestions, and were attentive to what I needed. From arrival, I felt welcomed with smiles and good energy, like they wanted me to have a good stay rather than treating me as just another guest. The rooms are simple, but my room had a comfortable bed and enough room to move around. It was quiet and helped me relax after a busy day.

The room needed attention. Its closet had just one door, and there was hair in the dirty bathroom. Breakfast wasn't good either: the sausage looked days old, and the bread was the very cheapest sort, the kind sold for 100 pesos. When we checked out, they demanded 100,000 pesos for supposedly staying two hours late. That charge didn't match the checkout time I'd been given on the phone, and nobody had mentioned it. The receptionist was unfriendly, too. I booked by phone the night before, and the woman who answered clearly told me when to arrive and leave, but at the hotel they seemed to remember none of it, explained no policies, and said nothing about extra charges. Poor cleanliness, a terrible breakfast, and service with no transparency. I wouldn't return or recommend it.
