I had an amazing time at Playa Blanca. I arrived on a bus tour and decided to stay overnight at Acapulco hostel. I’d never had an experience like that before. It wasn’t really about the hostel for me, it was the crystal blue water, sun, cocktails and fresh seafood. The hostels are pretty much the same, and this one was budget-friendly. We negotiated the price on the spot, though I’m not sure how busy it gets on weekends. Just know what to expect. Hostels in Playa Blanca are wooden, self-built houses without proper showers, AC, Wi-Fi or other essentials. Basically, you get a wooden bed. The electricity comes on after 6 pm, so you can charge your phone then. If you want a comfortable, modern hostel, you won’t find one on this island.

The room on the top floor has a private balcony and an incredible view, definitely a highlight. The facilities are decent for the budget price, though the bathroom has no door. The location is what makes it special: it’s on a beautiful beach, with shaded lounge chairs to use. Breakfast is included and delicious, and everyone was very friendly. Service was excellent.

Watching the sunrise over the sea is a must. The facilities could use a few improvements, but the service and location make up for that.

I’m leaving very satisfied and with wonderful memories. Pedro and his wife are amazing people, and they have their own boat. Some people may offer lower prices for the same destinations, but they don’t take you exactly where you want to go. They just drive around and leave you wherever they feel like. Water service is limited, but using the shower and restrooms was no problem. The food is delicious and the prices are excellent. Thanks so much for everything!

The atmosphere is peaceful, the food is very good, and the service is great. Daiber is really kind. The tour prices are fair, and I highly recommend taking tours with them. The rooms need some simple repairs, like fixing the locks and doors.
