It's a bit out of the way, but we found a hidden gem. The owner and chef are wonderful people who clearly care about doing a good job, and the service was great. The food was surprisingly good for a hotel so far from everything. I'd definitely recommend staying here.

I wouldn't recommend staying here if you can avoid it. The room only has a fan, and it barely lets you sleep. There were so many flies and mosquitoes that sitting outside in the evening wasn't possible. The owner took offense when I used the kitchen, and the restaurant prices were extremely high, which gave the owner a greedy feel. There's nothing interesting nearby either.

A magical spot in Pueblo Viejo, on the road to Ciénaga, just outside the city. The sunsets are breathtaking, and the owner is genuinely kind and cooks excellent Italian food. They offer lodging and meals, and can also host events and parties.
