Hotel Street 50 Estadio

I've been here for several weeks now, even though I first booked just three days, because this hotel makes me happy. I'd tried about half a dozen other hotels in El Poblado, Envigado and Laureles, and each had some issue. Here I've only had good experiences, and I highly recommend it. The service is perfect. The owner is very kind and handled all my requests with a smile. The cleaning staff are efficient and friendly, and the night desk staff are always helpful, even when Rappi drivers can be difficult.

The room was tiny and dirty, with cockroaches, and nothing like the pictures or description. They said they'd refund me by bank transfer, but four days later I had to go back and collect the money in cash. They also blocked me from leaving a review on booking.com. Really poor service all around.

The facilities at Hotel Street 50 aren't perfect, but the staff made this stay for me. After being treated badly at other hotels in Colombia, I came in feeling unwelcome. At those places, staff ignored me at reception, served guests who arrived later, wouldn't provide service, and gave me dirty looks, headshakes, and raised eyebrows because my Spanish is quite bad. At Hotel Street 50, the night shift man was unbelievably welcoming, and that changed how I felt about the whole country. The two day attendants were just as gracious and went out of their way to make sure I had what I needed. They were patient with my Spanish too, slowing down so I could understand. I was sad to leave and already miss the staff. Muchos Muchos gracias a todos en el Hotel Street 50!!!!!! If you need a budget-friendly hotel in Medellin near the location of Hotel Street 50, I'd wholeheartedly recommend it.

I had a great stay here and recommend it.
