AK Hostel 82

We ended up staying inside a local venue down the block that was being renovated; they let us wait there while we made other arrangements. I’m grateful they did, because the hostel left us outside in Bogota at night with our luggage. My uncle and I were just visiting, and we could have been robbed or killed. I’d booked and paid, and they confirmed the booking, but when we arrived nobody opened the gated entrance. There was no attendant, and ringing the bell again and again got no response. I could see a woman in the office. She got up when I rang, left, then came back and closed the blinds without letting us in. What kind of hostel does that? It’s a poor excuse for an establishment, and they should be ashamed. It’s too bad they’re in Colombia or I would have sued them. Avoid this place at all costs. Walk down the block to 82 Hostel Bogota instead. They took us in at short notice, the front desk guy was super chill, and we had a great stay there.
