Ayenda Normandy

It’s very quiet, and the front desk staff are polite. The price is great for a great hotel, and I do recommend the place. Parking is limited, with only about 8-10 spaces.

I requested a check-in time of 00:00-01:00 on my Booking reservation, even though check-in was listed as being only until 00:00. I got no reply to say whether they accepted or rejected the request. When I later called the 24/7 desk, nobody spoke a word of English, and I was left without somewhere to stay in the middle of the night.

The rooms and beds were great, the bathrooms were amazing, and checkout was flexible. Breakfast was excellent, just 10 meters from the door. It’s a secure place in a safe neighborhood, and could be worth trying if you’re in a pinch late at night. I did get bug bites, though it probably doesn’t happen in every room. Don’t take 405.

The rooms were acceptable, but the noise made it impossible to rest properly. Other guests and people in the hallways were awfully loud all night. The worst part was the service: the receptionist was disrespectful, rude, and manipulative. She heard my requests and complaints but ignored them and did nothing. She even let a party go on in one of the rooms, and when I complained, she just ignored me in a disrespectful way. Stay here if you want terrible attention and a bad night. There are more hotels about 10 minutes away with better staff, safer locations, and better service. This was one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had, and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone who wants to rest.
