The staff were kind and attentive, and I think this would be a great choice for a longer visit. The hotel feels truly luxurious, with a lovely atmosphere. My room was roomy and comfortable, especially the bedding, and I appreciated having the spa, pool, and gym. A couple of small letdowns: the in-room amenities hadn't been checked carefully, and weekend breakfast was a little underwhelming.

The massages and facials were excellent, and the therapists did a wonderful job. Staff moved our appointments up, which was helpful. Still, loud conversations outside the treatment rooms carried through the floor plan and disrupted the calm. My husband and I booked the Elixir Package for Two at Casa Carlton Dann Spa for a relaxing day before our wedding this coming weekend. It included the steam room, sauna, jacuzzi, pool, massages, and facials. At check-in we were asked whether we wanted to use the facilities first or start with treatments, and we chose the facilities. We soon found that both the sauna and jacuzzi weren't working, and the jacuzzi had a strong chemical smell. The spa attendant said she already knew about the problems. Nobody had told us in advance, even though those amenities were part of what we paid for, which was disappointing. If we'd been informed beforehand and the package had been presented as focused on massages and facials, our expectations would have been clearer and the day much less disappointing. The treatments were great, but the communication and unavailable facilities made the experience fall short, especially so close to our wedding.

The breakfast was great, with lots of choices. If you're lucky, try the Pitaya and Markisa at breakfast. The fruit changes every day. The gym was beautiful and well equipped, and the rooftop had a lovely pool and Jacuzzi. The spa area was beautiful too. The hotel is spacious and luxurious, and I felt it was worth the price. Dinner wasn't delicious to my Indonesian taste buds, and tasted different from Indonesian food. For me, Bon Cafe Surabaya is better. They did cook and garnish the meal beautifully, though, and the personal touch meant a lot: they made an "alas makan" with my name and Indonesian Language. One thing disappointed me a little. The water smelled of "Kaporit" or chlorine, so I wondered if they used tap water for cooking and serving drinks. They said that was normal and that bottled mineral water in Columbia would smell the same. We tried the bottled mineral water they served, and it had no chlorine smell or taste.

The breakfast was incredible, and the 24/7 room service is something you hardly find these days. Hospitality and service here are probably the best you’ll find at a hotel anywhere in Colombia.
