The free breakfast has limited choices, though they will make fresh egg dishes on request, mostly scrambled. There weren't enough towels in the room, and from the outside the building looks rundown, almost like a garage. The hotel is centrally located, but the neighborhood feels a bit rough. On the third floor, some rooms have beds in a loft reached by a very narrow winding staircase. You have to go down the stairs to use the bathroom, which feels risky, especially in the middle of the night. I was surprised this wasn't mentioned anywhere.

I loved staying here. The first-floor restaurant was great, and we loved the deluxe studio, though the stairs felt a bit sketchy going down, especially at night. The area has nightlife, a lively atmosphere, great restaurants, little shops, and lots to see. As a 26 year old, I found it perfect and felt very safe there. I wouldn't recommend this part of town if I were 50. Expedia says breakfast is included with all room options, but that wasn't true. I mentioned it to them, but wasn't going to argue over $5. Just something to know.

Inside, the hotel was modern and clean, with big, modern rooms. The bed was spectacular, probably one of the most comfortable hotel beds I've slept in. The room temperature was good and not cold like in other hotels I've stayed at. The buffet breakfast was quite good compared with most hotels I've been to. The rooms had a full kitchen with a fridge, cooking plate, microwave, security box, TV, and more. From outside, though, the building could fool you. It's hidden and the entrance looks like a garage door. I don't know Bogota very well. This was my first time staying in Chapinero; I usually stay in Fontibon. I ended up here unexpectedly after booking at a nearby Mercure. They charged my company card twice, then asked me to pay again in cash. It was already dark and raining, so I found this hotel nearby.

The staff were great, breakfast was good, and the hotel has plenty of character. It’s in a really convenient area, close to everything. I’d just ask for a room all on one level. The spiral stairs up to the loft bedroom felt unnerving and unsafe when I had to use them in the middle of the night.

Breakfast was fine, and the price makes this a decent value. The shower was partly clogged, though, and we missed a few basics: extra towels for hands and feet, plus shower gel. They supplied soap and shampoo only. The spiral staircase takes a little getting used to, as other reviews mention, but I didn’t find it hazardous. It’s a basic place, and the value mostly comes from the low price.
