Hotel Habitel Prime

I've stayed at Habitel Prime four times now, and it suits a short business trip or connecting flight. The bed and shower are really good, the staff are very friendly, and there's plenty of space to hang out or meet. There are two good restaurants, including one in the central garden, and a bar. I also tried the massage on my last visit and recommend it. Take the included shuttle from the arrivals floor near “module A”, following the signs outside. I'd spend a little extra for a larger room on an upper floor. Music plays throughout the ground floor, and I could hear it in my room. That was unnecessary.

Even with the flight mess Avianca caused and barely any time to stay, this was a really nice place. It’s only about a 6-minute drive from the airport. Staff upgraded my room, which had a king bed, a tub and shower, curtains controlled by switches, a stovetop, a mini fridge, and a small sitting area. The hotel also has a gym, a work room, and what I think was a pool. Breakfast was amazing.

The rooms were fine, but service in the restaurant was painfully slow. I waited 25-30 minutes just to place an order. They also charge 130,000 COP for a visitor, even if that person only stops by for an hour. That feels like a huge, predatory fee. I wouldn't stay again or recommend it.

The included breakfast was decent, though the arepas had gluten in them for some reason. The restaurant menu looked reasonable, but we took a cab somewhere else, so I can't speak to the food there. There's nothing within walking distance, and the airport nearby means you'll hear noise, so bring earplugs. Our first room was a basic one, not the type we had booked, and felt stuffy without AC; things looked worn, too. The junior suite was a little better, but still below other hotels we stayed at in Colombia for the same price. It's an okay place, with those caveats.
