Holiday Inn Express Bogotá - Parque La 93 by IHG

The location looks great on the map, though I found it less convenient than some other hotels nearby. The breakfast had a decent range, and the kitchen adjusted some items for our toddler, which we appreciated. I liked having coffee, tea, and water in the lobby, and the reception and cleaning staff seemed flexible about our situation. I’d mainly recommend the hotel to business travelers needing a quick night or to families with older kids. During check-in, my two-year-old son and another toddler were playing in the lobby and ran into a wall by the front desk. The brick corners there were very sharp and dangerous, and my son was injured. Reception brought out a first-aid kit and helped arrange an ambulance. The hotel covered the cost of that service. The manager told me they would work on making the hotel safer for young children. I hope they also address this when they finish remodeling the front entrance. Other hotels often have fewer dangerous corners. My stays have posted, but I’m still waiting for my bonus points. I wasn’t offered compensation or points for what happened to my son and the other toddler.

The room was much larger than I expected, and the location put me close to everything I needed. Staff were warm and friendly throughout, so I had a pleasant stay. The bathroom felt tiny beside the huge room and might be cramped for some people, though it worked. Breakfast was only okay, nothing special. I’d consider staying again.

The rooms and bathrooms were dirty, and the front desk offered no help. It’s a shame, since it’s so close to the action at parque de la 93, yet the service feels so far away. Using the franchise name for a run-down POS, with no pride or sense of belonging, was deeply disappointing. I’m never going back and wouldn’t touch this place with a 20-foot pole.

There’s plenty to eat and buy within walking distance, including food and drug stores, and the location is great. The room had everything I needed, and the place was super clean and organized. Staff were great, with 10/10 customer service. Breakfast had a good selection, especially the waffle maker. You can ask the waitress to make an omelette, though some of the egg mixtures looked and tasted a bit undesirable. I would’ve liked a restaurant and room service, but I understand it’s an express hotel.
