Hotel Bogota Suites

The staff were attentive and the service was very good, but the room I first booked had already been given to someone else. The replacement rooms weren't clean: women's hair was around, the bathroom was dirty, the walls were worn and grimy, the sheets were torn, and there was a musty smell. For the price, I wasn't expecting five stars, just something decent. Breakfast was a 3/10, and the coffee at reception tasted like water with cheap coffee grounds. What really got me was being charged 6,000 pesos for one bottle of a tacky off-brand water that wasn't even Brisa or Cristal. It's not worth a thousand pesos wholesale, for heaven's sake. Not even a Chocorramo with yogurt! Anyway, drama aside, it's fine for a cheap one- or two-night stay. Bring your own water, because that price feels like robbery. Thanks very much.

The receptionist was friendly and helpful, suggesting places to visit, and the staff seemed honest. They cleaned the room when asked, and nothing went missing. I needed an extra sheet to sleep comfortably since I'm from another country, and they gave it to me for free. The sheets crackled with static, maybe from the cold or something, haha. That was funny. It's a very cheap place, so I guess you can't expect much. It was my first time in another country and I didn't have much experience. Still, there was a lot of noise from other rooms, and you could barely hear either the regular TV or your own over it. The building has several floors but no elevator, and the stairs are narrow. The bathrooms are tiny, likely too small for someone who's 1.80 meters tall or overweight. There was no hot water. The breakfast was excellent, though the hotel itself was quite noisy.

The bathroom is tiny, and the place doesn't look like the photos. Those so-called curtains are just scraps of fabric. Noise carries everywhere, from the neighbors to people in the hallway, as if the walls were cardboard.

The photos on Google Maps show one thing, but the actual place is completely different. For what they offer, it's far too expensive. Cleanliness was awful: stained sheets, no toilet seats, hair all over the floor, and mold on the shower curtains. There was also a horrible smell, like chlorine or poison for rats and cockroaches. The quality was dreadful.
