Hotel Rivera Deluxe

We needed a particular schedule and availability, and the reception team worked out how to meet our needs while managing the resources well for guests. A nearby hotel had just slammed the door on us. Thanks for making the difference between simply running a business and actually providing service. Excellent.

The location is excellent for getting around the city, and the area is well developed. The staff are very friendly, and hot water comes through almost right away. It’s a simple hotel with the essentials for a good night’s rest, nothing fancy. The American-style breakfast was fine, but there were no face, hand, or bath towels.

The lack of an elevator was inconvenient, since we had to carry our bags up the stairs, though there are only two floors. Otherwise, we had a very good stay. The staff were warm and attentive, the rooms were tidy and cozy, and the fresh, simple breakfast was delicious. The water was SUPER hot at both the bathroom sink and in the shower. It’s away from the center, but a taxi costs no more than 10 thousand pesos. They can also bring lunch or dinner to the room. I picked it because it was affordable and had a 9.1 Booking rating, and its location between Carrera 43 and Calle 22, as they say, worked for us. I recommend it. My rating: 4 out of 5 ⭐

We ended up unable to stay, and in a way that was probably for the best, but searching for a hotel in Bogotá at 2:00 AM was awful. They didn’t honor our reservation and planned to send us elsewhere at 1:00 AM. Reception service was terrible and everything felt improvised. The parking lot also didn’t seem reliable. Don’t book here if you want to avoid a terrible experience.
