The staff were really nice, but the place felt like a rip off for what we paid. It looks luxurious, yet nothing inside felt nice. Breakfast was poor, and the shower was only lukewarm. They switch off the water heater at night, so after 9 pm the water was freezing. The doors didn’t open or shut properly, and the soundproofing was terrible. I wouldn’t recommend staying here.

The room was the worst part: dirty, musty, with pillows as hard as rocks. Dust came off the bed when I touched it, and moving the filthy curtains sent dust everywhere. I called reception to ask for another room or at least a cleaning, but nobody answered. I was exhausted from the trip and had to sleep there. My son got sick from all the dust coming off the blankets. It was a disaster, and I wouldn’t return even for a free night. We chose the hotel because we knew the area. In the photos it looked large and impressive, with a striking, first-class facade, but the place felt completely different once we went inside. The carpeted hallways were worn, dirty, and in terrible shape. The elevator was dirty and smelly, with peeling paint, and looked neglected. It seemed the hotel had been closed for about three years during the pandemic and not renovated afterward.

There were plenty of nearby restaurants and shops, and the neighborhood felt quiet and safe. The hotel was a bit far from the airport, but when it was time to leave, they arranged a taxi for my wife and me, even at 3 am. The hotel was very nice, the staff helpful, and breakfast was delicious.

The rooms are clean and roomy, and there’s a good breakfast buffet with fruit and tasty hot and cold options. You can also order dinner from the menu through room service. I love the quiet neighborhood, with markets, parks, and restaurants nearby, and the staff are great. It can feel chilly when you get out of the shower, so a small space heater in the room would help. I look forward to staying here when I visit Bogotá.
