I’d booked two nights but left after one, and didn’t even ask for a refund. The first room was dirty, with barely any hot water, boogers on the wall, cigarette burns on the floor, and a view of what looked like an abandoned building. I’ve stayed at many hotels in bogota, and this was one of the worst. I can’t believe it was rated 4 star. They moved me after I complained, but the second room was hardly better. The carpet and shower floor were dirty, the bedroom smelled horrible, and it was extremely humid even though it was cold outside. I left a day early because of it.

The food was terrific, and I felt very safe and comfortable. The staff were amazingly hospitable and caring in every interaction. I don’t want to leave.

I used to stay here repeatedly because I loved the breakfast, and I’d recommended it to several friends and family members. That changed on my recent visit, when I couldn’t get support for changing a reservation I’d made for my parents’ first trip to the country. I tried to sort it out through both hotels.com and the hotel. Just when it seemed closest to being resolved, the hotel wouldn’t acknowledge the change. They said working with experien/hotels.com had been difficult for them, yet they still advertise and work through that platform. I won’t stay here again or recommend it to friends or family.

It was a good experience overall. This is a small, charming hotel, and the staff were very kind, helpful, and friendly. The food took quite a while to arrive because the kitchen was slow, and the breakfast buffet didn’t have enough variety or food. We’d told them we were a couple, but they gave us a room with two single beds. That was disappointing, and when we raised it, they said no other rooms were available.
