Orange City

I stay here every month or so when I'm in and out of Bogota airport, usually for a few nights. Some nights are quiet, but not every night. On April 16, 2024, guests were extremely loud, with the TV at full volume and someone vomiting. Staff got them to quiet down somewhat. I was going to put it down to people partying at the local clubs and bars and winding down for the night. The bigger problem came after checkout, when I realized I'd left my phone in the room. I messaged the hotel on Expedia asking them to keep it at the front desk, but the message was never read or answered. They then told me the phone, which I'd left on the bed, wasn't in the room. But Google Find My Device showed it at the hotel and connected to its Wi-Fi on April 18, 2024, a full day after checkout, when I was in another city. That was the only Wi-Fi set to connect automatically in Bogota. Either the room wasn't cleaned and someone was left in a dirty room, or someone working at the hotel took my phone, thinking I wouldn't return for it.

Nothing wild or flashy, but it's close to the airport and not bad.

We arrived without a confirmation number because our reservation hadn't generated one. The receptionist charged us an extra $29,000 pesos and wouldn't honor the original price, even after we showed her the confirmation. Her customer service was clearly poor, and the way they try to charge whatever they want felt abusive. Avoid booking here if you don't want a terrible experience.

The area was the worst part of my stay. It was extremely noisy, even on a weekday, and the night I was there, loud music went from 10 pm until 4 am. Getting any rest was nearly impossible, so the experience was very uncomfortable. The hotel itself is quite basic with limited facilities. The electric shower didn't heat the water properly, and the water flow was weak, making a comfortable shower difficult.
