San Pablo Hotel

The buffet breakfast was okay, though the coffee was terrible. The staff were friendly and accommodating, and the hotel was clean, but my room was small and the bed very uncomfortable. My window looked onto a neighbor's laundry hanging out to dry, and the neighborhood didn't feel safe to walk around after dark. I wouldn't stay here again.

We rented two rooms for seven days, and after the first night we discovered that around 80 teams of teenagers with special needs were staying there for city games. Nobody told us about this when we arrived. Three days later, on Friday night, the second-floor cafeteria became a disco for the teams. The music was so loud from our rooms on the fourth floor that it felt like the equipment was right outside our door. I complained to the administrator, who got angry. I see this as a management problem, not the staff's fault, since they didn't approve that kind of event. After visiting many countries and continents, except Australia, this was by far the worst "hotel" I've stayed in. No good hotel to stay at, believe me, it's a no-no.

The location is good, with the main museums only a few minutes away by car, and early check-in is available. The staff were very friendly and happy to help. Breakfast was pretty good and varied from day to day. The hotel is near the road, though, so you can hear the traffic.

Clean, efficient, and friendly. There's no gym, but the internet is fast. It's within walking distance of a large mall, and taxis are easy to get. The airport trip takes 15-30 minutes depending on traffic.
