If you want to be right in lively Cabecera, the location is good, though the evening noise may get annoying. The breakfast was passable. I booked a room for two and got two queen beds with no space for anything else, and there was no refrigerator or minibar. The single small window looked out at two filthy AC units, which was awful. I’d recommend the TRYP/Bari across the street instead. It’s leagues better.

I don’t speak Spanish, but we managed to communicate well. The room was clean and comfortable, and the staff were there day and night to help, especially while I was unwell. They were incredibly supportive. I can’t say enough nice things about them.

They eventually refunded my money, but the stay was a bad experience. The rooms were very small, with only a tiny window, and none of the air conditioning worked. There weren’t enough staff, so getting any issue resolved was really difficult.

I stayed at bari too, and that one is a real hotel. This “motel” had a small room and bathroom, a tiny lobby, and an uncomfortable queen bed. There was no refrigerator in the room, so I asked them to bring one. It arrived 15 minutes later, but it was nasty and hadn’t been cleaned.

BGA Hotel felt welcoming, almost like home, and the price was reasonable. Breakfast was very good, with plenty of food and no rush. They only speak Spanish, so my wife handled that. Muchas Gracias BGA Hotel.
