Hotel Obama Bucaramanga

I never stayed here. I chose to leave after seeing what was going on, and they wouldn't let me cancel. This is an old post, but Booking.com never replied, so I'm leaving my comment here. My girlfriend and I were checking on a reservation when a man arrived asking for a prostitute. The receptionist called a woman who was in a room to confirm the client, then gave him the room number. There were already prostitutes in the lobby talking about waiting for clients, and as I left, three more men came in to see which one they could sleep with. I don't want to offend anyone, and people make a living however they can, but this was supposed to be a family hotel. It felt hugely disrespectful, and I wasn't going to put my partner through that unpleasant situation. The whole place seemed like a seedy brothel. Absolutely disgusting. I wouldn't stay there, now or ever. They can't make up for the discomfort by offering me free nights, because I'll never stay at that hotel in my life.

The mattresses and pillows were hard, and the sheets had tears in them. I also had a very poor experience with the reception service, specifically one staff member. I began asking for towels and sheets at 8 a.m., but by 10 p.m. I still hadn't received what I needed. I wouldn't recommend the place. Luckily, I only had to spend one night there.

The one good thing was the receptionist, who was kind. Everything else was a disappointment for an Ayenda hotel. I got what may have been their worst room, and couldn't get any rest. The curtains and walls were filthy, there was water pooled on the bathroom floor, and cockroaches kept crawling over the pillow and into my suitcases. There was also a terrible musty odor. Appalling 😡. I won't be coming back.

The receptionists were friendly, but that was about the only good part. The curtains were filthy, and there was so much hallway noise at night. Cockroaches on the bed too 🛏️, just awful. I had a really bad stay and wouldn't recommend it.
