Zamia Hostel

I spent about three weeks here and hope to return for longer. The rooftop hangout was where I made friends I quickly came to treasure. It wasn't a party hostel, though there are bars within safe walking distance where the parties happen. The area felt safe, and I was comfortable at the hostel day and night. The staff were remarkably friendly and treated me with dignity and respect. Dorm rooms offer plenty of space and some privacy, and there are private rooms too. Common areas and restrooms were kept clean, and the atmosphere was relaxing. There's also a cafe next door with superb baristas and beautifully made drinks. I highly recommend this place if you're traveling through Colombia :)

This is a nice hostel for backpackers and digital nomads, right in central Bucaramanga. The neighborhood feels like the best combination of safe and convenient, with cafes and restaurants nearby.

I found two male staff members going through my bag and another person's bag in a dorm. All my cash and my camera were stolen, so I called the police, but they did nothing. I filed a report at the station and left the next morning. Sickening. BEWARE.

I loved the cozy, personal feel here, and the ping pong table deserves a shoutout. Zamia Hostel was a great base for Bucaramanga, with everything clean and simple. The location is the best part: super central and safe, with food, shopping, and nightlife right around the corner.
