Hostal Alfon

It’s very close to the beach, which is a plus. The place feels like a family home set up for guests. Our small room had a bunk bed and an extra bed frame, leaving no space for anything else, not even a chair. The TV didn’t work either.

The location is good, but I can’t recommend this place. We paid 100,000 pesos a night for a room for two, without breakfast, which felt quite expensive, and only got one towel. A second towel cost extra. There was no water or electricity in the room, so we couldn’t charge our phones and had to leave without showering. Across the way, people made so much noise through the night, almost until 4 am, that we barely slept.

We planned on three nights at Hostal Alfon and wound up staying five. It’s a great spot for a coastal break beside Tayrona National Park, and we’d happily come back. The place and rooms are clean, quiet, and well kept. The staff are kind and helpful, and the Wi-Fi works pretty well.

We went in February 22. It’s a quiet, cozy, simple place close to the beach, with a homely feel. There’s no restaurant, but they pointed us to a great deli that’s very affordable compared with other places nearby. The lady was lovely, the service was excellent, and she gave us ideas for things to do and enjoy around Buritaca.
