Hotel Sabana Park

We were a family of four with two kids under 10. The rooms were nice, and we liked the restaurant and its food. The gym was a real letdown, just two or three cardio machines in a tiny room. Parking also costs about $9 a day since the hotel doesn't have an arrangement with the attached strip mall. I'd rate it higher, around 4.5 to 5 stars, if the gym were bigger and parking were covered. As it is, a solid 3.

I couldn't sleep well on the 6th floor because of the noise. There was a loud sound from outside that reminded me of a gym, and on Friday night the 7th-floor restaurant's cleaning made things even noisier. I complained three times, but the problem continued.

After renting a car through the hotel, I couldn't get my $200 deposit back. They claimed the tank wasn't full when I returned it, although the car actually had more fuel than when I picked it up. Staff gave little help when I tried to sort it out. Our company usually books here for business trips, but after being treated so dishonestly and unprofessionally, I'll tell people in our organization and other travelers to avoid the hotel.

We had friends and family staying at Hotel Sabana Park for four days in March 2024, and organizing the group was a logistical nightmare. Reservations went missing, bills were confusing, and one part of the hotel had a leaking roof. We were told every time that Mariana, the “Commercial Director,” was the only person we could speak to. She often ignored emails, sent wrong prices and details more than once, and was either very rude or unavailable. Quotes for group dinners and event spaces were wildly expensive, like Manhattan rooftop prices in a Bogotá suburb. The charges weren't clearly itemized, and questions were brushed off or answered with more errors. The hotel looks appealing, and the food and basic interactions with staff were decent. But if you're planning a wedding, business meeting, family reunion, or another event that needs coordination, clear communication, or respect for your time and money, avoid Hotel Sabana Park. If you're just staying one night and don't need to deal with management, you might be fine. There are plenty of beautiful, professional venues around Bogotá, and this isn't one of them.
