Plaza Paris Hotel

The service was awful, and the employee was rude. We were told over the phone that a room could come with a fan, air conditioning, and all sorts of comforts, but on arrival that turned out to be false. At 50,000, I expected at least a fan, yet the large hotel apparently has only three. One young man seemed to have no customer service training at all. He treated us badly, stayed glued to the TV playing games, and didn’t notice when people came and went. We called for him and he wouldn’t answer because he was busy playing. Terrible attention.

They kept playing loud music and making noise at reception all night. We complained, but nothing changed. The staff didn’t seem to care about the guests. Terrible service.

The rooms were clean, cool, and comfortable, and for high season the price was among the better ones for this area. The hotel is across from the market square and two blocks from the main park. One thing to keep in mind: check the rate directly with the hotel. I booked on Booking.com and found quite a different price when I arrived, though they did sort it out. There was also a frustrating interruption at 2:00 AM when a couple arrived and used the place for something else. That wasn’t really the hotel’s fault, but it threw off what had been going well. They could also improve the building’s facade, since first impressions count.

Everything smelled lovely, and the rooms were really nice and clean, especially the pretty bathrooms. The place is in a very central area. Both receptionists were very good and provided friendly service. Great value for the price, and I’d definitely come back!
